Centrally located in Ontario north of the GTA, once you are in Simcoe County many quiet roadways connect smaller communities (Coldwater, Oro Medonte, Horseshoe Valley, Victoria Harbour) and larger centres (Barrie, Orillia, Midland, Penetanguishene). Simcoe County has a myriad of trails from abandoned rail lines to waterfront meanders through parks and conservation areas. Connecting from one trail or road to another is not hard to do, making longer cross-country tours from the beaches of Georgian Bay to the shores of Lakes Simcoe or Couchiching an attractive possibility. The rolling paved country roads of our townships host numerous road races annually with marked routes to challenge the most avid road cyclist. Regardless of the route there are plenty of opportunities to learn more about the rich agricultural and cultural heritage of the area, while enjoying the charm and comforts available throughout Huronia.

With something for every type of cyclist, Simcoe County provides a number of information resources and published maps that cyclists can use to assist with planning cycling activities and routes in the Huronia region. Follow this link to the Cycle Simcoe route maps:
